Breaking News!!! Contest Procedure Change... The Idea Next Step Invention Contest will change from a monthly contest to an quarterly contest. The contest months will be March, June, September, and December. The grand prize will increase from $500.00 to $1000.00. This will allow for a larger purse for the winner and it will allow us to spend more time helping to market products for our inventors. The next contest will begin 9-22-08..

Hello New Members,
Welcome to Idea Next Step.Com:
To access features on the home page simply click on that feature. However, to access features in our members area you must login with your email address and password. In this same login area the system will read "Welcome- your name" Just below your name you will see a tab titled Access My Account. Click the access my account tab and you will go directly to the members area.
The members area is where most member tools are located. Social networking program, my photos, video uploads, web page creator , edit profiles, member profiles, archived judges comments, my blogs, my messages, my friends, loyalty contest information, and the monthly online invention contest are all located in the members area.
A brief contest review for our new members.
To post your inventions please log in with your email address and password. After you log in, you will then access your account. This will carry you behind the scenes. Locate the My Inventions tab and follow instructions to post your invention.
All inventions will be achieved in the Invention Hall. Access your account and find the Invention Hall tab. When the contest begins all inventions in the contest will transfer to the polling center.
To Vote: Please log in and access your account. When the polls are open you will see a polling center tab. Click this tab and all the inventions in the contest will be located there. Stroll through all the inventions until you locate the invention of your preference. Each invention will have a cast vote tab below it. Simply click on this tab with your mouse. Every time you click that tab your account will be debated one vote. All vote are free and will be automatically added to your account per round.
Inventors in the contest will receive 50 vote credits for round one. All other members will receive 25 vote credits for round one. Inventors in the contest must vote for other inventions in round one, and they must spend all their 50 vote credits. If they fail to spend all their vote credits their entry will be disqualified regardless of vote totals.
After round one the computer will eliminate all entries except those that received the top 12 votes. Three independent judges will debate/eliminate the entries down from 12 to 5.
In the finals every one will receive 25 votes. Inventors who reached the finals will vote for themselves in this final round. The entry will the most votes at the conclusion of the final round will be crowned Champion. Remember, you should work to get others to support your entry. These can be co-workers, family, other inventors, friends, associates, etc, etc,..
A critical component of being a successful inventor is your ability to network and gain support for your idea. Therefore, encourage any of your supporters to register for free and you show them how to vote.
