Consists : Of solid mechanical advantaged levers, fastened to cooking instrument, along with (no nip) tension springs attached about cover lid. Touching down foot will auto-lock lid open. Re-touch with slight horizontal and release will slowly gravity close lid. While opening lid some benefits are: Able to avoid heated, smoky, gases, from under lid, two hands to move/turn heavy food, an extra hand for chef to baste, hold a beverage, and whatever else a "No Hands" lid shuffles to mind. Also you can still lift lighter cover by hand.
