Contest Official Rules and Qualifications
Inventors register for free and enter our Quarterly contest.You may post your inventions until 6:00 p.m. central time 9-22-08. At 6:00 p.m. central time (9-22-08) the computer will no longer accept inventions for round one. At 7:00 p.m. central time the polling center will be open for round one voting. Voting for round one will continue until 4:00 p.m. central time 9-25-08. Please notice the calender for more information regarding the judging times and the final round.

You must be a member of Idea Next Step.Com to post an invention in the contest. Membership is “Free” and immediate. Simply click on the membership tab and fill out the short application. You will instantly receive a Log in and Password. You can change both or either at your discretion.
Your participation in this contest does not encumber your invention in any way. Feel free to participate in other contest while competing in the Idea Next Step Inventor Contest. Idea Next Step makes NO claims, title, distribution rights, or retains any interest of any kind in your invention. Our goal is to provide you with potential revenue so you can afford to move to the next step.
Your entry must be patented or patent pending in the United States or Canada, and in your name.
We must be able to authenticate the patent or patent pending status of your invention before any winnings are distributed.
All information received must be in “English”.
No age limit for competitors / inventors.
Inventions must be relatively new or still in their infancy stage.
No continuation in part (C.I.P.) of any type from a previous winning entry is allowed. Also, no continuation in part (C.I.P.) from any invention which is not qualified to participate will be allowed to enter this contest.
No previous winning entry will be allowed to enter future contest.
You can re-enter the contest as often as you choose if your invention entry hasn't previously won the grand prize.
In the unlikely event the grand prize winner becomes ineligible, the winning cash award automatically transfers to the runner up.
Criteria - The criteria will be left to the discretion of the voters and the judges. However, the following represents guidelines which everyone is encouraged to use.
- Technical Feasibility.
- Uniqueness.
- Creativity.
- Clarity/Completeness of Conception.
- Marketability/Potential for Success.
- Usefulness.
- Financial Potential.
